MADFORWATER at the Knowledge Exchange Event in Lille

On Monday 21st October 2019, Water Reuse Europe, the trade association for the European water reuse sector, hosted a one day knowledge exchange event in Lille in France. Showcasing the outcomes of recent EC funded water reuse and resource recovery projects, this event provides an opportunity for professionals involved in the design and operation of water reuse and resource recovery schemes to advance their awareness of leading edge research in the area.

Adoption and application

With countries across Europe experiencing increasing levels of water stress, recovery and reuse of this precious resource is attracting more attention from policy makers and water service providers. The event in Lille on 21st October will bring together Europe’s leading research teams to present their findings and discuss their adoption and application.

11 EU projects on water reuse and resource recovery

There were 40 participants present from 13 countries in Europe with different backgrounds: Universities/Research centres (9); Utilities (18); Private companies, solutions providers, SMEs etc. (9), Associations (3) and municipalities (1).

11 EU projects on water reuse and resource recovery presented the outcomes of their research, which provided an opportunity for all water professionals attending the event to advance their awareness of leading-edge research in the area. The MADFORWATER project was presented by Prof. Dario Frascari of UNIBO.
